Many times in talking with random folks about our ghost hunting adventures, it is inevitable that someone will ask, “How do I become a ghost hunter?”, or “How can I get into this?” Our answer to these questions usually follows along the line…anyone can become a ghost hunter! While this is true, there are a few things that should be considered when starting up a ghost hunting group or starting out as a ghost hunter.

First and foremost, decide why you want to be a ghost hunter? Have you had previous encounters with ghosts and spirits, are you an adrenaline junkie that is looking for a good scare, are you out to prove that ghosts exist or that they don’t exist, or are you just looking for a hobby to occupy your free time? Whatever the answer, establish a reason for doing this so that you will be properly motivated…
